NOTES: Today's service has a focus on God's activity through His Word. We are taught that God expects His children to show their faith in renewed living while today's service teaches that the Word as a Means of Grace actually works in us to give new life.   God promises to gather and restore His people.  Today’s readings use the imagery of sheep and shepherd as an illustration of God working in through His Word.  (www.pericope.org)
