Incredibles Relay For Life Team, Sponsored by St. John's Youth Group

The Incredibles walked all night at Howard’s 3rd annual Relay for Life July 14th and 15th. Our team members were Tom and Karen Hueners, Jonathan, Waunita, and Miciah Watt, Deana and John Nelson, Darcy Albert, Joe, Donna and team Captain Megan Bechen, all of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Other members were Jacki Moor, Allison Clarke, Barbra Page and Ken and Millie Horter. Six other teams participated in this year’s Relay for Life. Music and many activities scheduled all through the night kept everyone awake. Many members of the team participated in games such as a scavenger hunt, banana relay races, and a rope race. Everyone had a lot of fun with the themed laps, which included “Pretty in Pink”, Light up for a Cure”, “Cap Lap”, “Hawaiian”, and “Noisemakers”. Our team raised a total of $1,703.75. We raised this money in many ways such as selling baked goods, donations, and a Howard Tiger quilt raffle. We came in 2nd place with the most money. We would like to thank the evening guild, Ladies Aid, and Teens for Christ for their donations, along with all other who made a donation or helped us to raise so much for the American Cancer Society. Megan Bechen, Team Captain.
